WELCOME. WE HAVE OUR WINTER MARKET. IT IS SATURDAY FROM 9:00 AM TO 3:00 PM. WE HAVE 15 VENDORS WHO WILL SET UP THEIR STAND AND SELL HAIR CARE PRODUCTS AND COSMETICS. SOME STUDENTS WILL MAKE SWEET TREATS AND JEWELRY AND IN ADDITION WE ARE IN BUSINESS SCHOOL SO WE TEACH OUR STUDENTS HOW TO BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR AND WE RECOGNIZE THAT THERE ARE ADULTS WHO WANT TO LEARN HOW TO BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR, WE HAVE ONE FREE BUSINESS STARTUP PROGRAM WITH SEVERAL LOCAL SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEURS WHO WILL TELL THEIR STORIES AND THEN WE ALSO HAVE AN PERSON FROM CINCINNATI CREDIT UNION WHO WILL COME OUT AND HELP PEOPLE INTERESTED IN STARTING A BUSINESS. >> [INDISCERNIBLE] [LAUGHTER] >> NOT JUST GIVING THUMBS UP BUT SHOWING THAT THE JEWELRY YOU MAYBE CAN — [LAUGHTER] TALK TO US ABOUT YOUR ROLE IN THE MARKET THIS WEEKEND. >> I WILL SELL BRACELETS, ALL KINDS OF BRACELETS, AND MY FAMILY SELLS BRACELETS. A local school wants to encourage its students to become entrepreneurs. The Rothenberg Preparatory Academy is hosting a winter market this weekend. Rothenberg Principal Alena Smith and student Constance Heard came to WLWT to discuss the importance of the market. The market opens to customers on Saturday, December 10 at 9:00 am at the Rothenberg Academy on Clifton Avenue. (Watch the video in the player above for more information.) The event features more than 20 vendors and food trucks. WLWT’s Courtis Fuller will also host a panel discussion featuring local entrepreneurs who will discuss the pros and cons of owning a business and share tips for success.
